Queensland records one new COVID-19 case

Queensland has recorded one new case of coronavirus – a historic case linked to the Indooroopilly cluster.

Deputy Premier Steven Miles said the person was home quarantining while infectious.

He flagged a further easing of restrictions in South East Queensland from 4pm on Friday as state authorities prepare to implement tough border restrictions.

From 1am on Saturday only essential workers who have received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine will be allowed to cross the border.
