NSW Health’s Dr Jeremy McAnulty says in the 24 hours to 8pm last night there were 1,127 new locally acquired cases of COVID-19 in the state.
“There were eight overseas-acquired cases in the same period and one case acquired in Victoria,” he said.
“There were 114,084 COVID tests reported to 8:00 last night, compared to the previous day of 137,668.
“In terms of hospitalisation, there are currently 1,253 patients with COVID-19 admitted to hospital in New South Wales with 231 people in intensive care and 104 who require ventilation.
Dr McAnulty said there were also two deaths recorded of people with COVID-19.
