Stokes’ speedy recovery: Ben Stokes, who is out of the cricket field for almost six months now, posted a picture of him holding the cricket bat for the first time in six months. In the social media post, Stokes is seen holding a cricket bat stating it’s the first time he is able to hold the bat since breaking his finger. Check out –

Ben Stokes finger injury in IPL 2021: Ben Stokes suffered a finger injury during the first leg of IPL 2021, which ruled him out of the T20 tournament for the Rajasthan Royals. RR all-rounder recently went for an operation for the same, which has kept him out of the play for almost six months now.
IPL 2022 Mega Auctions: With two more teams set to be added in the next season, the rules of the mega auction are yet to be known. However, all the existing franchisees are likely to be allowed to retain or have the option to ‘right to match’ (RTM) a few players in the auction in the mega auction next year.
Rajasthan Royals couldn’t make it to the playoffs this year and looked weak in the absence of their star all-rounder Ben Stokes. Stokes provides a good balance in the side with both bat and ball. It has to be seen if RR retains him or not because every franchise will bet for him in the mega auction if he is released.
Stokes’ Last international appearance: Stokes was subsequently ruled out of the Test series against India. Stokes’ last international appearance was against Pakistan in a three-match ODI series in which he led England’s B side after the core players were isolated amid COVID-19 tensions in the England camp. Stokes-led outfit thrashed Pakistan 3-0 in the ODI series.
