Queensland’s going to have ‘a red hot go’ at boosting vaccination rates

6PR broadcaster Oliver Peterson says Queensland is going to “give it a red hot go” when it comes to boosting vaccination rates evenly across the state.

The Courier Mail is reporting Queensland Health Minister Yvette D’Ath is urging residents to get vaccinated in the next six weeks in a move which could ensure patchy coverage in the regions doesn’t hold back the state’s roadmap out of the pandemic.

Mr Peterson pointed out Queensland tourism businesses “are going to be destroyed” if they cannot open to interstate visitors for Christmas.

“They need Victorians and New South Wales men and women in their state this Christmas or they’re not going to exist, it’s as simple as that.”
