A person alleged to be a member of a south-east Queensland bikie gang has been arrested and brought to a police watch home after allegedly assaulting an aged man.
The 39-year-old alleged member of the Iron Horsemen is accused of attacking a 66-year-old man in Canungra in September final 12 months, leaving him severely injured.
Police mentioned the youthful man had been concerned in a minor visitors dispute with the alleged sufferer, earlier than calling on six fellow gang members to ambush him.
The alleged assault, which occurred on the Outpost Café, was captured on video.
The seven males are seen attacking the older man, who was eating along with his son, earlier than fleeing the scene.
The older man was hospitalised with extreme accidents.
Police confirmed the sufferer and suspect weren’t recognized to one another.
This morning, police working below Taskforce Maxima performed a raid on the 39-year-old’s Ipswich residence.
The man was taken in handcuffs to a watch home and has since been charged with affray, possessing a harmful drug, possessing knuckle dusters and carrying a prohibited merchandise in public.
He was bailed and can seem in Ipswich Magistrates Court on May 23.
Police are interesting to members of the general public to assist determine the remaining six males.
