Billie Eilish Tributes Foo Fighters’ Taylor Hawkins In Stormy Grammys Performance

Billie Eilish is taking the sixty fourth Grammy Awards by storm — actually. On high of her nominations this night, Eilish delivered a charming efficiency of the title monitor from her sophomore album Happier Than Ever.

Eilish opens the track whereas singing inside a mannequin of a home, sporting a shirt with an image of the Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins, who died earlier this week. As the digital camera zooms out, the house is revealed to be the wrong way up, with a sofa on the ceiling. When the lens zooms additional, we see that the floor-ceiling has flooded with water.

The lights then exit, as Eilish climbs as much as the roof (or floor) and joins her brother, the track’s producer and co-writer, Finneas. Bouncing off of one another’s power, Finneas shreds the guitar as Eilish headbangs close by.

At the top of the efficiency, thunder and lightning strike as rain pours down on the stage. The present earned Eilish a rousing standing ovation.

Eilish is nominated for seven awards tonight, together with Record of the Year, Album of the Year, Song of the Year, Best Pop Solo Performance, Best Pop Vocal Album, Best Music Video, and Best Music Film. Last 12 months, she and Finneas gained Record of the Year with Eilish’s single “Everything I Wanted.” In 2020, they gained Grammys for Record of the Year and Song of the Year for “Bad Guy,” from When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?, Eilish’s debut album.

Last week, the pair gained an Oscar for Best Original Song for “No Time To Die” from the newest James Bond chapter No Time To Die.
