Canada police clear border protesters

Canadian police have begun an operation to clear a barricade on the main border crossing to the United States.

Protesters have been blocking the bridge for two weeks.

It follows a court injunction – making it a criminal offence to block the border crossing.

The Freedom Convoy protests began last month in Canada – with protesters calling for the abolishment of COVID-19 vaccine mandates and rules.
