Higher energy prices the ‘main driver’ of UK inflation

Business columnist Terry McCrann says the “main driver” of inflation in United Kingdom is higher energy prices.

The British Central Bank recently lifted interest rates by half a per cent, the country’s largest interest rate hike in 27 years.

“Because energy is the fundamental input into everything,” Mr McCrann told Sky News host Peta Credlin.

“It’s into every production process, it’s into our lifestyles.”
