How To Get Maker’s Mark to Pay For Your Checked Bags This December

If your holiday travels having you coming home with a little more than you left with, Maker’s Mark might be able to help you out with that. This holiday season the bourbon maker is offering “Whisky Flights,” a promotion that will have the distillery potentially covering the cost of your checked bags, which hopefully contain a bottle or two of bourbon, although whisky is not required.

The promotion works for travel from December 15-31, so you can also take advantage of it for your flight before the holidays, provided you held onto that checked bag receipt.

“As a family-led brand since our inception in 1953, we’ve always believed that the perfect holiday moment starts with you, your loved ones and a bottle of bourbon to share, and we wouldn’t want anything to get in the way of that quality time,” said Rob Samuels, 8th Generation Whisky Maker and Grandson of the Founders at Maker’s Mark.

“We know you can’t bring a bottle of Maker’s Mark Bourbon in your carry-on luggage, so we’re encouraging folks to check a bag on their next holiday-bound flight so they can bring a little spirit home to share. We’ll pick up that pesky fee for some lucky travelers.”

Here’s how to take advantage of the promotion:

1.     Fly over to between December 15 – December 31, 2021

2.     Check-in and upload your eligible airline checked bag receipt

3.     Wheels up! Maker’s Mark is reimbursing up to $50,000 in luggage fees this holiday season.

Uploading your receipt isn’t a guarantee you’re going to get that reimbursement, but with $50,000 in luggage fees getting reimbursed, it looks like you probably have a pretty solid shot.
