IT’S a fast-paced work environment, and Alicia has to stay on her toes.
And while she generally loves working at Nando’s, there’s one thing she hates having to constantly ask customers.
“Please state your chosen spice when ordering at Nando’s,” she wrote over a video of herself in her work uniform on TikTok.
“I’m one more ‘how spicy’ away from quitting my job.”
Alicia’s video has been watched over 450,000 times since she posted it, and many of the comments were from fellow Nando’s waiters who are also sick of similar situations.
“‘what table?’ ‘uhhhh idk’ logistically how do u think the food is gonna get to u?” one commented.
While another added: “And when we ask ‘what spice’ pls don’t tell me your sides.”
“I asked a customer last week ‘how spicy do you want your wings?’ She said ketchup,” a third sighed.
“When people ask for ‘mild or extra mild’ so plain or lemon and herb ???” someone else wrote.
“What sides would you like?’ ‘What size???????’ Actually makes me want to cry,” another person dramatically commented.
The problem also extended to other restaurants, as someone else commented: “Asking people if they wanted Chili garlic or salt on their edamame was part of the reason I left wagamamas. Solidarity.”
And another weighed in: “when i used to work at mcdonald’s and people would make me ask what size meal and what drink they want with their meal.
“It would make my blood boil bro.”
“And at KFC don’t ask for a burger pls state what burger,” someone else said.
