Man dies following small plane crash in Western Australia

A 50-year-old man has died following a aircraft crash within the Western Australian city of Kununurra.

Police mentioned the crash occurred because the pilot tried to land the aircraft at East Kimberley Regional Airport.

The passenger turned unresponsive whereas his evacuation from the scene was being organised.

Despite the efforts of emergency personnel on the scene, he was unable to be revived and later died.

The pilot, a 29-year-old man, sustained severe accidents from the crash, together with burns.

A Royal Flying Doctor Service aircraft landed in Kununurra and it’s anticipated the person will likely be flown to Darwin for additional therapy.
