“Munsters” Sets September Netflix Launch

Filmmaker Rob Zombie’s new horror-comedy film take on the classic 1960s sitcom “The Munsters” has set a Netflix launch date.

The movie has been officially set to hit the streamer on September 27th, a day-and-date release with the film hitting Blu-ray and VOD platforms on the same day via Universal 1440 Entertainment.

The project stars Jeff Daniel Phillips as Herman Munster, Sheri Moon Zombie as Lily Munster, Daniel Roebuck as Grandpa, Richard Brake as Dr. Henry Augustus Wolfgang, Sylvester McCoy as Igor, Jorge Garcia as Floop, Catherine Schell as Zoya Krupp along with Cassandra Peterson as Barbara Carr and Dee Wallace as the voice of “Good Morning Transylvania”.

An exact replica of the Mockingbird Lane Mansion was made for the film, which was shot in Budapest and rated PG. The physical media release includes 60 minutes of extra features, including unseen behind-the-scenes footage as well as feature commentary from Zombie.
