Former Liberal advisor David Gazard has weighed in on outgoing Prime Minister Scott Morrison’s future ambitions.
Mr Gazard said he believed Mr Morrison would “stick around” in a “show of faith” for his electorate of Cook.
“I think there’s a view amongst MPs that are close to their communities that they’ve just been rewarded by re-election by their voters,” he said.
“But if you’ve got ambitions and you’re on the backbench it can be a destabilising force.”
