Windows Shopping:
Levi Higgs, the Head of Archives and Brand Heritage at David Webb, whose creativity extends to Instagram influencer and whose feed is stuffed with eye-arresting and storied vintage and classic jewellery posts was chosen to design the jewellery home windows for the present. They are hypnotic, authentic and reflective of his vivid creativeness and the character of the items you will note inside. Here he talks about his idea for the shows and the way they have been realized. “In the vein of a cabinet of curiosities, I wanted to create windows that were filled with interesting variations and different specimens of the same object. Since the overarching theme for the larger windows was “rejuvenation” I used to be notably drawn to the thought of eggs. I appeared round my very own private assortment and noticed that I had fairly just a few; picket eggs of many sizes, reduce glass eggs, metallic eggs, and even some precise eggs. Adding the treenware introduced the show into the realm of Wunderkammer. As for the jewellery I chosen, I needed all items to construct on the theme of eggs, and have both birds, wings, feathers or be symbolic of flight not directly. A little bit of hope and new life with a splash of visible curiosity. Many of my eggs and treenware have been sourced from my favourite retailer upstate, Pidgin, in Oak Hill.”
