Winning Powerball tickets for $632M jackpot sold in California, Wisconsin

Winning tickets were sold in California and Wisconsin for Wednesday night’s $632 million Powerball drawing.

The California winning ticket was sold at a 7-Eleven store in Sacramento, at 6591 Wyndham Dr., according to California Lottery officials.

There were also more than a dozen winners of smaller prizes worth $1 million or more, including $2 million winners in Florida and Georgia and $1 million winners in nine states.

A ticket with 5 of the 5 winning numbers but not the final Powerball number was sold at a Chevron in South Pasadena, Calif. for a winning prize of $1.3 million.

The numbers pulled for Wednesday’s drawing were: 06-14-25-33-46 with Powerball number 17 and a 2X multiplier

The jackpot is the seventh largest in Powerball’s history and has a cash value of more than $450 million. The prize now resets to $20 million for Saturday’s draw.

There was no jackpot winner last Monday, when the top prize was at $550 million.

The biggest all-time lottery jackpot was a $1.5863 billion Powerball prize in 2016.

The last winning jackpot was hit on Oct. 4 with a prize of nearly $700 million, when a single ticket sold in California matched all six numbers.That was the seventh-largest jackpot for all of the various lottery games in U.S. history.

Powerball tickets, which cost $2 each, are sold in 45 states, as well as the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

The odds of winning the Powerball jackpot are 1 in 292.2 million.
